Your satisfaction is our Number One concern. After moving thousands of families, we have compiled this list of suggestions to make sure your move goes off without a hitch. Think of this as answers to our most Frequently Asked Questions. As you read through the links on the left, if you have specific questions that are not addressed please contact us.

Be Available

It is important for you to remain available to the movers. Please do not schedule settlement or a flight for the packing, loading or delivery dates.

Keep an Eye on the Inventory Process

On moves over 40 miles the movers will create a complete inventory of the items being moved. Accompany the driver through the house as he inspects and tags each piece of furniture with an identifying number. These numbers, along with a description of your household items and their condition at the time of loading, will appear on the inventory. You will need to sign each sheet as it is completed. Retain your copy. On the delivery day, check your goods as they are unloaded. Make sure all items tendered for shipment are delivered and that they are in the same condition as when they are loaded. The driver will make every effort to accommodate this process.

Take a Final Tour

It is your responsibility to make sure everything is loaded. Don't leave until the loading process has been completed. Before the driver leaves, make a final tour of the house to check closets, cabinets, and drawers to be sure that nothing has been overlooked.

Be Ready

Not finished packing? If you have not finished packing boxes you planned to pack, please let us know so we can come prepared.
Moving more or less? If you planned to dispose of some items but will now be moving them, let us know. We arrange for a specific amount of space on the truck for each shipment, and we will need to adjust our schedule accordingly.
If you have items stored in an attic without a floor, remove them before the pack day.
Items that have been permanently attached to the walls or ceilings such as drapery rods, mirrors, or light fixtures must be detached in advance if they are to be moved.
Remove all valuable or breakable items from dresser drawers. Items left in drawers will be transported "as is".
